This mission is a heartfelt tribute David W. Schaffer, MD. His life was defined by service, compassion, and unwavering dedication to others. As an anesthesiologist in the United States Navy Medical Corps, he spent two years caring for those in need while stationed with the Third Marine Division in Okinawa, Japan.

Over the next 35+ years, Dr. Schaffer was more than a skilled physician—he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose kindness and integrity left a lasting impact on all who knew him. His love for his family was the foundation of everything he did, and his example of generosity and selflessness continues to guide us.

Through Operation Stuffed with Love, we honor his memory in a way that reflects his deep admiration for those who serve in the military and his profound love for family. One of his most special gifts was his ability to connect with children, offering them comfort and warmth—something that only deepened when he became a parent and grandfather. His heart was always open to others, and he would have wholeheartedly supported this initiative, knowing it brings comfort and joy to so many deserving kids.
